Setting your Preferences and Permissions
Indicate your preferences.
One of the most important things you‘ll want to do when you first set up your profile is select your preferences. You can also change them later from your profile page. The purpose in setting up your preferences is to indicate to others which causes and issues are of greatest interest to you. Unless you set those preferences, others in the MyGoodDeed community may not know how to contact you with the right information about causes that align with your interests.
Establish your privacy settings and permissions.
Like other social networking communities, you can regulate who may contact you. Do you only want people you know, or are you open to receiving cause and friend invitations from people and groups that share your interests? When you set up your profile, you have the option of determining these types of settings.
Everyone begins with a series of default settings that will allow others to contact you providing they share the same cause-related interests as you, but if you want to change that you’ll need to adjust your permissions accordingly.
