About Us

MyGoodDeed Inc is a nonprofit 501c3 group created by 9/11 families and friends (read the blog posts of MrDeeds and JayW) shortly after the terrorist attacks on America. The group launched this initiative to honor the thousands who were killed and injured on 9/11, to pay tribute to the many who aided in the rescue and recovery efforts, and to remember and rekindle the remarkable spirit of unity that existed in our nation in the days following 9/11. We created the MyGoodDeed.org social cause networking community because many people told us they wanted to stay engaged beyond 9/11 and network online throughout the year with others who shared common social interests. The long-term mission of the group is to transform 9/11 into a national day of voluntary service, and give individuals and organizations the power through dynamic online networking to make a difference in the world, one good deed at a time.
