UPS Celebrates its Global Volunteer Month
30,000 UPS volunteers to deliver community support around the world
UPS employees worldwide are rolling up their brown sleeves to do a lot more than deliver packages in October. As the company’s Global Volunteer Month, employees will be giving their time, talents and hands-on support to charitable organizations in their local communities. The initiative was expanded from Global Volunteer Week to a full month of efforts this year to enable more employees to participate. Since the program began, the number of employee volunteers has grown from 1,000 in 2003 to 30,000 expected to participate around the world this year.
